Tropical Cyclone Alfred - NSW SES Operational Update Sunday

Summary

The NSW SES has received more than 10,390 calls and responded to more than 5,982 incidents as ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred continues to move inland, impacting the Northern Rivers and Mid North Coast of NSW.

The NSW SES has received more than 10,390 calls and responded to more than 5,982 incidents as ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred continues to move inland, impacting the Northern Rivers and Mid North Coast of NSW. 

Although Alfred has weakened to a Tropical Low, communities need to remain vigilant and not become complacent.  

Emergency warnings advising people to evacuate are still in effect.  

Check the official warnings on the NSW SES website or Hazards Near Me app for exact locations and maps. 

As of 5am, Sunday 9 March, approximately 14,600 people are currently under emergency warnings across the state.  

As of 5am, Sunday 9 March, approximately 31,200 dwellings are subject to warnings as a result of flooding, including watch and act & emergency warnings. 

People should have a portable radio and are encouraged to listen to their emergency broadcaster for the latest information and updates 

As weather conditions ease, NSW SES crews will begin to assess the damage.
