NSW SES Mudgee Unit volunteers were presented with a brand new emergency response vehicle at an official handover ceremony today.

Minister for Police and Emergency Services Troy Grant said the New South Wales State Government is proud to support the NSW SES and its volunteers by providing more than $179,000 to purchase this new emergency response Light Storm vehicle for the NSW SES Mudgee Unit as part of a five year $46 million Operational Fleet funding project.

NSW SES Macquarie Deputy Region Controller, Phil Lalor said the new vehicle will help volunteers carry out important emergency response work.

“To help ensure the Mudgee Unit volunteers can undertake their role of responding to flood, storms and other emergency jobs, quickly and efficiently, it is essential that they have the best vehicles,” said Mr Lalor.
